Mindset

The easiest way to predict the future is to create it, and we create our future by what we do in each moment. The present moment represents our point of power.

If you’re hanging on to the past, deal with it and let it go. There is absolutely no benefit in hanging on to the past. The past should be a place of reference not a place of residency.

As for worrying about the future, most of what we worry about doesn’t happen anyway. It’s like paying interest on debts that you don’t have.

The only way that we can focus 100% on each moment is not to think about the past or future but be totally present and immersed in the moment.

When we achieve this state of mind we’re engaged in the moment, but detached from the past and the outcome of our actions, thereby maximising the energy available to create our future.

As any good sports psychologist will tell you, the mindset of detached engagement is the optimum mindset to achieve peak performance.
